Holden Commodore SS Sportwagon. Spotted when parking my car at work today. I though I would share it here so that all the NA Oppos could feel jealous that there is no Chevy SS Sportwagon. Please excuse the crappy quality.

You pretty much summed up the feelings of the jeaous NA Oppos. Jealous is the correct word.

I've been over the jealously part for years now it's just meh typical GM

Fuck you, GM.

Yeah, GM needs to bring this over and revive one of the old nameplates.
Chevy Caprice wagon
Chevy Malibu wagon
Throw in a bunch of leather, Buick Roadmaster Wagon

Are the ignition switches designed better on the upside down part of the world? Now I am no longer phased that we don't get any cool wagons or utes or small trucks. I have learned to accept the fact that we have to survive with watered down SUV's that won't go off road and can barely soft road.

How I feel about this.....

Although I am upset at the fact you can't buy a brand new chevy wagon, I'm more frustrated by the auto only drive train on the Chevy "ss".

And in blue too. You are an evil man, evil indeed. GM needs to quit F&$@kin around and sell the whole line here. The Ute especially.

And yet, in its great wisdom, GM will stop making these cars completely in 2017.

Another thing the Commodore has over the Chevy SS - optional manual transmission. Looks like this will be remedied with the 2015 model though.

I'd buy the Roadmaster. Mmm, lots of leather....

Yes apparently they are (no recalls here...yet).

Tis a shame.

This particular salt comes with an optional manual transmission, can be had as a sedan, wagon or ute, and can be purchased from your* local Holden dealer, who all have plenty in stock. Sorry, did I rub it in a bit hard?
(*actually, mine)

GM Exec 1: "Apparently our Australian division makes some really great cars!"
GM Exec 2: "We can't have that! It'll make people realise that the rest of our cars are completely mediocre."
GM Exec 1: "You're right, we'd better stop them!"
—- some time later —-
GM Exec 1: "I fixed the problem, GM will stop making cars in Australia in 2017"
GM Exec 2: "Great! I feel so much better now!"

Tis much a shame. There are rumours here that there might be a replacement for the performance models in the form of a RWD sedan that would probably also serve as replacement for the Chevy SS, and could be built in NA. However the non-performance Commodore models are expected to replaced by a (probably Malibu-based) imported FWD sedan. The chances of a wagon and ute beyond 2017 is pretty much zero.

They already have the new platform out (ATS) but they need to start using it every where. The next Camaro will use it, but I haven't heard much else. They should sell the Camaro in Ozland.
